Diesel chips

So I was reading about this. http://www.tsperformance.com/switchable_chips.html

I find it hard to believe that this much HP can be gained from a chip but my knowledge is only about gas engines. Is this possible with a diesel?

Yep, diesel is a whole other ball game

On a diesel you don't have air throttle control like you do on a gasoline engine, diesels operate at WOT the whole time, you regulate their speed by the amount of fuel you feed them

diesels combust by heat and pressure, thus you have no spark plugs or any type of ignition control

most ford diesels have boost controlled by the ecu, you can throw more boost at them in the tune as well 30-40 lbs of boost is typical
