Simplify Timing on SD LUX0

Unread postby Mikestang » Wed May 01, 2019 8:44 am

I don't post that much, but do love the tech articles and info here. But I am hoping for some help this time.

I am using a LUX0 with a DA1 Cal. This is in my racecar, only minor some mods, E-cam and HO stock intake and TB (instead of 86 stuff) Long tube headers.

I am looking to simplify the timing tables. The part that says how to disable Altitude Spark and WOT Spark by using the "memory location"... I have no idea how to do this?? Can someone help?

I already got that file from him. Car is already running and racing. I have already dyno tuned it for the most part, I just want to simplify timing so I don't have to change it in multiple tables. I am also re-wrtting the Columns in FN070 so I can get better resolution where the engine is operating and adjust VE higher than 4000.

I see the write up is for GUBF, but wont most of these changes still work with LUX0?

ok...

So this is the part I do not understand how to do,

The memory location to disable the altitude table is:

0x3713-0x3714 [+0x2000 intel offset] opcode DECIMAL: 484 (stock) to 404

How do I get to/modify from the Memory Location? I dont know what this is, or how to make a change in this location.

Ok, well bummer. Is there any other work arounds? I have not looked, but is there a delay I can set to max to keep it out of the WOT timing tables? A way to have it not switch between Sea Level and High Alt table?

This is the hack that decipha is referring to. It basically modifies the code so only the sea level table is used. On the strategies that I work with the base table is already disabled thanks to a function

Humm, I tried to open it several times, only the top 1/4 of the pic loads, something on TunerPro is all I can see.

Ill probably just Email SailorBob tomorrow and see what he says. I can keep tuning the way I have been but Road racing brings about a lot of throttle movement, it would be easier to tune the way later Ford PCM's are set up

...do you mean this? 3 Tables?

Ich schreibe in deutsch weiter, bevor der google übersetzer Mist übersetzt :D

Mach einfach die 3 Tabellen gleich und taste dich an die beste Leistung, ohne das der Motor klopft, heran.

No, the code hack disables the altitude table, and the base table in some tunes. On my preferred strategy, the base table is disabled via a function.
