Will the C3Px or ICY1 bins work with the electronic shift 4x4? I remember reading that a Lightning ECU will not work properly in a Bronco. Thanks

I haven’t tried yet, but the word is the Lightning ECUs will not allow the 4 low function. I think it’s has to do with the zero speed flag that allows the shift. Just wanted to check before I spend a lot of time on the tune. I contemplated putting in a manual case, so if this true, it will make my decision.

Just a quick update. Working well with C3P2. Hot idle and free rev RPMs are getting dialed in. Did verify that 4WD Low function is fine. Still need to button up some things before I can drive it to get the other table values. I am concerned that the VE table ends at a lower RPM than I will be operating in. Can one add columns to the table? I still need to install my Wide Band O2. It looks like, by the articles, that this is the best way to dial in WOT fueling. Is this also done in the same VE chart? Again, thanks for all the help!!

u can add columns but its not easy, simple rescale it if you want no prob

yes you can use the ve histogram to dial in wot fuel so long as u keep it in closed loop at wot so the hego can correct just as if u didbt have a wideband

once u get it dialed in then allow open loop at wot and use the wideband to fine tune it

Thanks for the reply. I should have also asked, if I need to rescale the table to add columns, or will it just base the fueling at 5000-5500 rpms with the information at 4000? My cam is on the small side and I would think that my power curve has flattened out a bit by then. Not like my 289 with a 250-260 @.050 with those heads. Big difference from 4K up through 7500. I saw in the write up about how to force CL at WOT. Is that the same for speed density?

Made some test runs. Was getting some surging at mid-throttle and the WOT felt a little sluggish. The History VE tables were reading out anywhere between .998 at low load to 1.21x at the higher RPM, higher load cells. I was adding to VE table as I could during stops. I also added 5 degrees of timing across the board, which it seemed to like. I am still studying up on how to build my spark table. I have attached my log file if you are interested and/or anything jumps out at you. I am in process of getting my wide band installed and hope that will help me too. One quick question, if you don't mind. One the dashboard, there is a gauge with fuel error. One way has red the other way orange. I am trying to figure out what that gauge is telling me. I am assuming that if it sweeps to the side with the red, it is leaning out and I need to increase the number in the VE table. Just a little concerned because I don't want to be hurting anything. I feel like I am asking too much for a non-paying customer. I want to do the tuning myself, so I can learn, but I would be happy to Paypal you some scratch for your time. Thanks again!!

the ve table is pretty plotting the fuel error thats how it works

it can only work at wot if its in closed loop otherwise in open loop the fuel error is just giving you the commanded or lambse fuel ratio

the fuel error gauge is just calculating the fuel error same as i have in the fuel write up it just does it for you

nope not at all ask away thats what this forum is for

update: I think I am getting close. Was getting some surging, disabled EGR and that went away. Fighting with my Wide-Band. Bought new sensor as my old one was junk. Worked for a few seconds then just went max lean with three dashes. So that will be another day. I know its not running that lean. I am not sure I am doing the CL at WOT properly. I set the THBP2 / FN513 - WOT threshold to 750. When I make WOT pulls the VE histogram still shows in the 1.19 to 1.21 range. The dashboard during that time is also showing lean. I keep throwing more fuel at it VE table in that area is at 2.017 (started at like .996) do i need to change things like in the WOT Lamse multiplier? Thanks!

if u max out the ve table then u need to double the ve table multiplier scalar and divide the ve table in half then continue from there

Thanks for the advice. Finally got my wide band going and things are getting close. Good thing I do have that as I think I was being mislead by the fuel error gauge while reviewing the logs. I was believing that I was going lean every WOT pull as it would read in the 1.2ish range. So I would keep throwing fuel at it. The VE Histogram would never change either still read around 1.19 to 1.2 in those blocks. Now I am not sure I am staying in closed loop at WOT. I set THBP2 / FN513 - WOT threshold to 750. That is the only thing that made sense to fool the CPU that I was never at WOT and stay in closed loop. Anyway, with the wide band hooked up, I was seeing it go max rich at WOT. So I pulled fuel out until I was in the upper 12s to low 13s. Had to quit as my trans was getting mad. Speaking of that, do I need to do anything with the VE torque table? Thanks again!!

the fuel error will show the lambse equivalent in open loop, can only use it in closed loop

once u get the ve table dialed in you can adjust the torque ve table to have her shift the way you desire
