2015 Mustang GT w/ Steeda Intake

Hey decipha, glad to see your still hacking away at the tuning world. Im on HPT.

I just got this car and didn't realize it had a custom tune due to the steeda intake. I updated the PCM with IDS so it wiped the tune off. Now it runs rough.

Im just curious if you know of an updated MAF transfer to use with that steeda MAF housing?

First you could check HPTuners tune repository, or did you already?

most all of the CAI for the coyotes are about 1.33 off.

Just go multiply the entire maf by 1.33 for starters then simply setup a histogram and dial it in

I did check the repository. That was my first try. Nothing of much interest, except the Power Pack 3 tune. Which surprisingly is just a timing adjustment, TB ratio change, and slight increase in manifold volume due to the kit contents.

Awesome, sounds good. I figured as much. I just needed a place to start. I just didn't know if they were getting some odd results at low RPM. I noticed the old tune had the car idling higher than stock.

thats cuz they a bunch of dummies. We make the only true bolt on turbo kit for the coyotes and I do more of them than anything. I have yet to ever raise the idle in fact I reduce the stupid high startup idle on all of them.

lol the car does sound better at a lower idle. I got my maf dialed in. Started with 33%, probably ended up average of about 35%. Thanks for the starting advice.

You don't get into fuel mileage tuning in your guides, but I hear cmd lambda of 1.05 is good for cruise cells?

The spark tables completely confuse me, with 26 different mapped points for MBT and borderline. How do you know which mapped point the pcm is using, and when?

if it has cats keep it at stoich during cruise, but yea 1.06 or so might help might not, just gotta play with it

log the weighing factor for the mp's and u can see exactly whats being used

coyotes have the same basic spark control as cbaza. I simplify my spark so i get exactly what i plug in to make it easy.
