Where to find JLT maf transfer

Unread postby Crock » Sat Nov 18, 2017 7:48 am

I just finished a coyote swap on my 93 foxbody and I am just trying to set up my initial tune. I have a boss 302 intake, long tube headers and a JLT intake. I already changed the manifold volume for the intake, but not sure if I need to change anything else for the boss intake? My real problem is trying to figure out where to find a maf transfer for the JLT intake.i know the 11-14 is frequency instead of voltage. Is there somewhere to locate the transfers?

the JLT flows 1.9x stock, you can multiply the stock maf flow by 1.9 and that should get her running, the stock tune won't start with the maf being so far out, I have a JLT maf curve on the homepage for the 2015+ GTs. When I get a chance i'll go digging to find an 11-14 ive tuned with a JLT and i'll add it.

put the manifold volume back to stock, thats the transient model, long tubes you can kick up the ego delay a touch, nope no changes need for the boss intake

HP tuners, but I don't recommend them. The customer service is terrible.

Btw..multiplied the maf x 1.9 and it fired right up and idled really well. Thanks!
The car is away for the winter so I can't drive it, but it is nice to finally hear it run.

yea i have an interface i got it to do dodges but hadnt rly used it much especially since i have the sykes setup now, when i get an oddball type vehicle ive never tuned before i use their interface to log so i dont have to go setup any logging PIDs like with SCT, their interface only works on CAN tho the older j1850 is useless, my biggest issue with them is throttle body swaps, theres several thousand DBW parameters they dont break out in the software

other than that its no different than anything other software, SCT still has the best support for newer fords that is until sykes comes out of beta and releases their full package. I much prefer the tree view as compared to their buttons, I like to see all my parameters at once always have its just easier for me

happy to hear shes running, lmk if u have any problems

Are you referring to Syked ecu tuning? I have never heard of them before, but just looked it up and it looks pretty good. Price is reasonable too! Do you know if they support the control pack? I was going to look at sniper, but this look pretty good too.

I made my own wiring harness from a oem harness to be the same as the control pack. I emailed hp tuners and asked if their hardware would write a control pack tune to a f150 coyote computer and they said yes. So I went ahead and bought it and used two credits to license a control pack flash, but it would not write it. I again contacted hp tuners and they told me I had to license the f150 pcm also. I used two more credits to do that and it wrote the file. I read the ecu again just to make sure it wrote and it wanted another license because it doesn't write the Vin, so it was the control pack flash with the f150 vin. I was pretty annoyed that it takes 6 credits to get one useable ecu. Hp tuners basically told me they don't recommend writing a different file to a ecu, but 6 credits is normal to do this. I wish they would have told me that when I first asked. In the end I had to end up buying a control pack ecu because with the f150 it would start but the throttle pedal wouldn't work. Must be some hardware difference. I told hp that using 6 credits was gouging, they basically told me too bad and didn't respond to emails anymore.
