Complete Newby..

I have been around cars and worked on and others all my life. I am now retiring from the military and have decided it is time to get back into playing on the 1/4 mile strip.
What I would like to know is How do I get started in DIY tuning? What would you recommend from a Software standpoint? Reading and research? Basically, I need someone to say, You need this this and this?
Once I get the tools then I can get the education. It is just to easy to buy a bama tune and move on but I like to know how and why everything works the way they do. Besides, My 2005 will be my test toy to learn on, If I kill it, so be it. It could use a coyote anyway. lol No really, someone lead me, thanks.

I recommend the tuning package from sniper, I prefer sniper over all others for all CAN bus ecus, they dont limit your access like most of the other tuning software companies do and their customer service is top notch, they also dont try to claim your tunes like some of the other companies do

PM me your number and I'll see what I can do for you
