J2534 tuning

Unread postby tecks » Wed Apr 05, 2017 5:21 pm

Is there and software out the that can tune our eec v and eec iv with a j2534 box? I have several and use them with the factory software for reprogramming. The SF sniper looks like its a jbox with their software. Just curious if any of the diy'ers have written software to work with the jboxes?

eec v yes

eec 4 no, it doesnt physically have an obd2 port and its eeprom only

what factory software?

the binary editor software by clint garrity supports j2534 obd2 flashing but requires you pay a token for each vehicle $200

Not all definitions require the use of tokens.

ah yes that is correct, if you use the database that comes with it you have to use the token system, if you use a 3rd party definition that BE supports like sailorbobs then you don't have to use the token system
