V6 Auto Trans 2-3 shift issue

I'm having an issue with a v6 auto holding 2cd gear out to 7k when I am commanding the shift at 6100. Any insight? I have the tuneful in sect if that would help.

Moates chip, BE tuned
GSS340 pump
Spec Stg 3 clutch
V8 T5 with custom input shaft, billet shifter
8.8 rear end with 3.55 gear, 4 wheel disk
V8 front spindles and brakes,
V8 sway bars front and rear
CC plates
FRPP cockpit adjustable shocks and struts. Soft to race with the flip of a switch!
Have 57mm turbo, Stinger header, ebay blow off and waste gate purchased so far.

it sounds like you only changed the WOT shift rpm scalar and didn't re-calculate the 2-3 shift speed function

go reduce the mph at the top of the 2 - 3 sea level shift function to the MPH that it should shift at

I believe I did that. I have a lot of success with 5.0s with the changes I make. If you want to see the tune I can post it, but I would rather email it to you.

Rear gear was changed to a 3.73 so nv needed to be modified to compensate, unless you're saying I did it incorrectly. Please elaborate. EDIT: Just got the pm. That's taking into account the gear change?
Also, in another thread here a guy posted he shut off rpm based shifting, how is that done? viewtopic.php?f=8&t=755

you have the ratio set to 3.31 not 3.73

never heard disabling rpm shifting, i never knew there was any rpm shifting used other than the wot shift scalar checks

My bad, yeah, was thinking of another tune, I knew it had a different ratio than factory in it. I should have checked before I posted that. But at any rate, how do you calculate N/V?

n is rpm, v is vehicle speed at a 1:1 gear ratio

divide

N / V

since that trans doesn't have a 1.0 gear ratio you have to cross calculate, this is all detailed in the trans write up on the homepage

new gear ratio divided by old gear ratio multiply times N/V. I read the trans info and did not see an actual N/V calculation, did see the formula you put in for altering shift points, but is that the same as what we are talking about? Can you share how you arrived at 40?

Yep that fixed it. I had a DOH moment I guess, for some reason I thought it had a 3.73 in it, but it didn't. Changed the NV to 40 and it worked perfectly. Set the trans rpm's and matched the mph to get it close and the thing is shifting great he said last I spoke with him. thanks a ton!
