coyote tuning options

Unread postby brewster » Tue May 12, 2015 11:47 pm

Ive got a 2014 gt with a short shifter, race cai, and a bama tune. Ive been pretty successful tuning my 92 fox 347 heads cam car and was thinking about ditching the bama tuner and playing with my 2014 gt myself. Not quite satisfied with the bama tune, fans run right from cold idle, and im not sure why but when cruising when you let off the throttle it richens up from 14.0 to 12.5 briefly approximatly 3 secs Before dfso kicks in. Anyways i see decipha mentioned something about sniper software? And in general i really enjoy tuning as a hobby and hope to be very efficient at it with time and practice.

on the supercoupe or coyote ?

rich decels is usually caused by the exhaust, hego, and cat cooling switches being left on

So bama could turn off cat cooling in lower load ranges. I guess this is why i would like to play with the car myself.
Yea sorry just checked out your sig, looks like you have a bunch of supercoupes lol.
So what is the better software one should purchase to play with?

imma let u know shortly, Ive dealt with sniper before but i dont know how much hes gonna let me play with the binary so we shall see

in order to get to everything i need to without swapping to the control pack theres quite a bit of hacking imma have to do so having full access to the tune is a must

Any updates on this? I would suggest buying the SCT racer package since you already have the xcal, you can always overwrite the free tunes for life. Yes, there are lots of switches that need to be turned off and things scaled down on the coyotes to make them work properly. The DBW and VVT are some powerful, yet very complicated tools to work with. Cam timing can net some impressive power gains for sure. I have mine on the dyno right now, just waiting for me to have some time to mess with getting some more power out of it. I think there's 20 more left on the table but only time will tell.
I'd like to hear how you're coming along with this....

Ok, I need to find out about that then. In the training I just took they kept saying that it was in Beta. So I'm not sure what they were referring to?

My friend is considering a coyote build up. What computer hardware and software is needed for him to make his own tunes for a 2015? Or maybe you can remote tune for $.
