KAMFs at 1 but......

Unread postby 89FiveOh » Tue Feb 13, 2018 12:29 pm

Hello,
Been adjusting MAF to achieve KAMFs to be 1’s or very near in closed loop. However, after looking at cruising datalogs while in CL, my STFTs and LTFTs are (-) negative values while KAMFs stay at 1 or slightly above or below. Any thoughts or advice? No wideband just yet. The HEGOs are switching pretty quickly and constantly.

Can someone verify if dialing in MAF by adding/subtracting air in the MAF curve to achieve KAMFs at 1 while at part throttle and idle is a valid procedure?

Thanks

Perhaps I should also ask for the formula to calculate fuel error. Can the fuel error be applied to the MAF curve? Can the trims come from avgs calculated from datalogs or should it be at point by point calculation?

kam's take about a tank of fuel to update to get any useable data

the fuel error formula is in the fuel write up on the homepage, if your using tunerpro there is a fuel error gauge and it automatically populates the histogram table so in closed loop all you have to do is apply your error from the histogram

in order to calc the error you have to be at a stable condition for a given mafv

yes you can apply the correction to the mafv, thats the basics to dialing in fuel, all is covered in the fuel write up
