MAF setup/dial in

Unread postby 89FiveOh » Fri Feb 09, 2018 12:11 pm

When dialing in the MAF curve, for example, warm stable idle while in closed loop, if my KAMFs show, lets say, 1.25, are changes made to the MAF curve at the point its using to bring the KAMFs back down to 1?
Is the process to dial in MAF air by adding/subtracting the lb/min value until the KAMFs settle in around 1?

Thanks in advance.

Im waiting to get the wideband installed but figured the narrowbands will point me in the direction to dial in the curve.

Is this considered dialing in idle fuel as I read must be done before dialing in idle air?

the kams are multipliers

if your kams are at 1.25 at idle the go to the maf curve at that idle voltage and multiply the flow by 1.25

your kams should then work themselves down to 1 over a tank of fuel or so

25% is a big error, make sure the maf transfer stays chronological otherwise it will corrupt the code and the ecu will reset each time it hits that point

its always best to calc the fuel error instead of just looking at the kams, thr kams are only part of the story
