EECV Vehicle ID Block

Unread postby J-man » Mon Sep 07, 2015 11:31 pm

On the EECV, What is the VID block ? I would guess it has the vin number plus other info.
1. What other info?
2. Is it always the same size and address locations?
3. Has anyone made a utility to read it from a bin?
4. Can you see it with BE or SCT or others?

Thanks

Vehicle Information: 1988 full size Bronco, most likely to be EEC5, thinking about CDAN4, 351W GT40 heads GT40 lower and explorer upper, E4OD trans, 3.55 ratio and 33 inch tires, 3 inch suspension lift. I'm also planning on Explorer DIS components.

vehicle identification block, yes contains the vin number, pats code, strategy code, ford copyright year, rear end axle ratio, tire rev's per mile, and vehicle features such as alternator size, drive-train configuration, keyless entry equipped, wheel base, snow plow, speed limit, fuel type, octane, speed control, speed limiter, traction control, etc...

yep sure is, always the last hex 0x100 of bank 9

here's a quick peek of the VID block broken out in my FBFG2 def
