Flowmaster Super 50 Delta Flow Mufflers - 1,000+ hp

Unread postby decipha » Fri May 11, 2018 8:21 pm

Im highly considering putting a couple of the flowmaster super 50 delta flows on my harley. I currently have long tubes with an x pipe and true dual 3" all mandrel bent with 6 resonator (glass packs) and 2 summit super turbo mufflers on it routed all the way out the back bumper and the fucking thing is still obnoxiously loud and the noise it makes it gruesome.

Any thoughts or experiences?

I gotta feeling it's the 3 inch pipes. Are the series 50 the hushpower ones? Lol if you need quiet maybe you could force it into a single muffler for quiet, then open an electric cutout which sends it back to duals

yep that's them, the truck isn't a race truck it's just a tow truck for my toys so losing power isn't a concern in the slightest. As is the truck makes more power than possibly usable so I'd gladly give up 200-300 rwhp if its quieter. Although i do like the cut out idea I hadnt even considered it. I actually have an old new cut out somewhere i could toss on it just to try out.

Ah I see. I think with the x pipe and creative use of a cutout you can make some headway.
As a quick test you could make a cork of sorts to block flow from one tailpipe. In this test flow would go across the xpipe and out the remaining free tailpipe. I'd be curious to hear if it helps.
