94 mustang ecu

Unread postby Joecho » Wed Jan 10, 2018 2:13 am

I currently have a t4m0 which i think might be fried . I have a friend that has a 94 mustang and a ecu i can buy, he swears its always had a 5spd and his ecu is the w4h0. I thought that was auto ecu. I have done a fair ammount of researching and find so many different facts. Im curious if it will even matter since there car is 5spd anyways but also just wanted clarification on wth is with the confusion cause i even found a printed book listing the w4h0 as a 5spd car.

Thanks and sorry if this has already been asked and answered. Ive spent a hour or two and nothing concrete.

in 24 years this is the first time i've ever hard of anyone confusing a w4h0 for a 5spd

but nope, w4h0 is an auto ecu, in a 5spd it will spit out a shit load of trans codes, the ecus are interchangeable though, the engines are 100% identical

simply toss the w4h0 ecu in your car and just slap a chip on it with a 5spd tune no problem
