Good afternoon everyone. I dont know I posted in the right section but it was the closest I could find to what I working with. Here goes.... I have a 1969 Ford Bronco 4x4 with a 351W with some nice upgrades (cusotm heads and custom cam from FTI-Ed Curtis) and a 4R70W trans. I am converting to the Ford EFI and EDIS system from a 2000 Ford explorer V8. I would like to use the explorer ecm, is it possible to get the PATS removed and some dyno tuning done as I am in Lafayette LA. I have most of the parts to convert minus the throttle body and MAF sensor. Waiting to purchase those as I wanted whom ever tuned it to recommend the right parts before I buy. I am in the process of converting the explorer wiring harness to work with the bronco and the 351W. I am in Lafayette LA and was looking for someone that can help me through getting the ecm tuned to get the bronco started and a possible dyno tune once its alive. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Yeah no problem.

You can use the explorer ecu but your far better off using an 03/04 luxury sedan ecu (town car, crown vic, grand marquis, marauder, etc...) as its far superior and much better supported, also is faster and has more features.

Might as well get a stock 05-10 ford slot maf sensor and toss it in your inlet pipe.

but yeah I'm right here on the service road of MSY- New Orleans International Airport. Once we get her dialed in you can bring her on down to spin her up no problem.

Sounds good, will the 03/04 use the same harness as the 2000 explorer ecu or will I have to modify the harness that goes with the 03/04? Also, is there a specific throttle body that you prefer using over others. I'll be using a 70 mm to go with the lightning lower intake and the gt40 upper intake.

pretty much may be a couple pins to swap but you can compare it in the pin out listing

http://www.efidynotuning.com/pinouts.htm

RZASA is the luxury sedan ecu.

nah I have no preference on tb whichever one you can get a good deal on.

Couple of more questions, will the 03/04 ecu be able to control and tune my shifts on the 4R70W? Also, will the slot style MAF sensor work with the 30lb injectors I'm using? Do I have to buy one thats calibrated? Sorry for all the questions, this is all new to me.

So I found a 03 and 04 Grand Marquis at the pull a part. Is there a certain number on the ecu I need to look for or all ecu's in the 03 and 04 will work?

all the same

You can plug the hardware code in on the homepage under supported ecu's search box though for specifics.

I picked up an ecu from a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. Hardware code is WSX2. Typed it in the search on the website but nothing comes up. Is this one of the supported ecu that I can use? PT# 4W7A-12A650LC
