EEC5 limits/scaling tune

Unread postby Pappacosworth » Wed Jul 29, 2020 10:35 am

My big project is near completing. I made dohc/eaton combo for my 1994 Cobra. Iron bulletproof shortblock 8.5:1, other parts from Mach1 drivetrain donor. Ported M112 making more than 15 psi, with low IAT numbers. I use mainly BE for tuning, I'm more familiar with that. I have Tunerpro Rt too, but I dont know how to use its dashboard and all tricks.
I'm having problems to get this consistent. EEC5 ecm, RYAK1 Coretuning strategy. Maf is limited to 64 lbs/min, Decipha states that injector slopes are too limited.
I have Shelby GT500 5.8 54 lbs injectors and AEM 320 lph pump, with returnless system. I've got car running and I had to go to engine dyno, to measure power for legal reason. RPM limit at 6000, I got 483 hp and 535 lbs/ft.
I've scaled slopes, breakpoint, sarchg, maf but I can't get afr error to stay stable. I have injector values from Shelby calibration, and maf sensor is form Mach1 80mm in 93mm venturi. I had to play with all values to make it driveable.
Maf pegged at 5500 rpm, and now I have altered it to have more capacity.
Parts of tune are from Terminator. In Mach1 tune maf transfer max lb/min is 46.16, Terminator value is 63.97
I think that Terminator tune is scaled from factory because engine size scalar is different from Mach1 and blocks are similar.
I tried to read and learn about K-factor but I can't find it in TP

There is no accurate data for the frpp LU47 / 47 lb / 52lb injectors used in the GT500s. The stock tune data and published data is all wrong.

You will have to manually dial the injectors in.
This no doubt is whats causing your fueling issues.

Terminator and Stock GT has the exact same engine size its just most tuning software shows it wrong. Terminators use the european strategies so the equation is different. Most tuning softwares Ive seen uses the US equation which skews it.

Whats the zip file?

Zipped is my shitty tune. I have Gt500 settings from standard binary read. Could I just start with Mach1 maf transfer and start with hi slope=low slope. What about sarchg?

Here's a base fbgi0 tune. This should get you started.

Downloads the fbgi0 def off the homepage for tunerpro load the xdf and adx in to tunerpro. Get it fired off and going and then start dialing in the maf.
The more you tinker the more you'll learn.

FYI i set the engine size to 471 cubes thats 1.75x 281 cubes so you don't clip load at WOT.

I tried this, too rich. I leaned maf 25%, no effect and trims don't help. Leaned 25% more, doesn't start. I can't get it running so much that I could get decent datalog.
With BE I can drive and adjust, but even I if have trims under 5% there is still afr error. No exhaust leaks, stock manifolds, wb at passenger side, all hegos operating.

you need to reset the kam power when swapping strategies. So leave the battery disconnected over night.

if 25% causes a no start then lean it out 15%
