Sub_ac02: is the console sub where you want to have your patch go.
Have you enough output hardware drivers in the 6tac box for an 8?

One would think batch fire would only need two drivers but Michael has stated otherwise.

Re: Directives file for A1C
they are batch fire with 2 injector banks and changing from 3 injectors per bank to 4 should not be much of a problem .
will need to change the pips per revolution and think i have found it but not sure .
JSA thanks for the link

Re: Directives file for A1C
There was a post, a German guy (i think), before website crash, got a 4cyl. running from a 8cyl. hardware.
The SD-4X hardware, SD48/SD47 are identical, well the circuit board is.
The only difference from SD47 6cyl and SD48B 8cyl hardware is that 6cyl has knock sensor chip in circuit board, the 8cyl does not. And of course, the software is different.
I haven't done it yet, and I am 100% positive, that I can take my 8cyl bin, and run it on the 6cyl hardware. Trans drivers, etc. all the same.

Anyone have the contact details for the "Ignition Department", for approval?SPKLIM = Percent of "crank degrees between PIPs" used to determine the
maximum spark advance increase allowed between consecutive spark events.
Do NOT calibrate higher than 0.06 without Ignition Department approval.
Maximum spark advance increase between events varies with the number of
cylinders; Maximum increase = SPKLIM * 360/ENGCYL.
For 4 cyl; 0.06 * 360/2 = 10.8 degrees
6 cyl; 0.06 * 360/3 = 7.2 degrees
8 cyl; 0.06 * 360/4 = 5.4 degrees

Re: Directives file for A1C
its simple enough to setup for any engine you have
I use A1C on 6cyl and 8 cyl engines.
I can post a 6 cyl A1C file if needed.
