I ended up ordering the 36-1 wheel below. I measured all the teeth and gaps and they are all the same size (other than the -1 area). I dont see any variance so I feel confident it will work great.

https://64bittuning.fwscart.com/Ford_Sm ... 26462.aspx

I am going to sandwich it between the balancer and the crank pulley and have 1/8 taken off the harmonic balancer to keep the correct spacing. Im most likely using a 95 mustang GT front AC and PS bracket and using a Vortech blower. I already have all the blower bracketry so i just need to get the bracket for the AC/PS. Im going to build some sort of bracket that uses the stock crank position sensor mounts but moves the sensor so i can use the new wheel.

Unfortunately, no from me too. I had to put this on hold because racing season started. So I put the EEC-IV stuff back on so the car is operational. I'm also looking for a 99-04 Mustang harness to use as my base instead of the F150. I think it will work better for what I want to do.

I finally got the Godzilla coils delivered. only took like 4 months. That looks really good. I'm still debating between bolt on bracket or welded bolt pad like that.

That is the same one I bought. I planned to install it on the backside of the balancer but it's OD is too large, contacts the water pump. On my 94 SBF it can't be installed between the crank pulley and balancer.

A trigger wheel is just steel, so I think I'm going to draw one up and get it cut by an only laser cutter like Send-Cut-Send. then I can make it have any ID and OD to make it fit behind the balancer similar to factory.

I plan on shortening a stock 94/95 balancer on the front to fit between the balancer and pulley. It looks like it should fit but i won't know until i get the balancer cut down. I may need to notch the pump in order for it to fit.

Im in the same boat, 36-1 trigger wheel on 28oz 351w balancer.

What is the diameter of the 36-1 wheel?
Can the water pump be shaved a little for clearance?

I really want to put on the back side.

There really is no way to put it on the back side. The 64bit tuning unit is 6.75 inches. Even putting it on the front, its going to be a tight fit and I am not even positive it will fit. Its going to be extremely close to the waterpump inlet. Im planning on using a ppd balancer and having the adapter turned down so it will fit right against the stock pulley. Since the 94/95 pulley isnt flat on the back side, im going to have to make an adapter that allows me to put the wheel back more like 3/8 of an inch and then have a 1/4 spacer in front of the wheel that allows the pulley to be mounted without hitting the 36-1. Pro-M makes a 6.5 inch 36-1 wheel but I dont know if they sell just the wheel. I think you have to buy their whole kit and its 500$ and its not even a VR sensor so you will still have to adapt a VR sensor to it. I emailed them today to find out if they sell just the wheel.

Here's my 408. I am using the 9006 Professional Products Damper, the 81007 Pulley spacer, the 64 bit wheel, the 64bit cam sensor. Just got an Innovators West Crank 931-3125 trigger bracket. It will be easy to take an 1/8th of the back or the pulley spacer. And I think the PCE626.1001 from speedmaster79.com will work.

The way you have that mounted, the hubcentric ring is not used so the adapter is not being positively centered which means the pulley won't stay centered. The wheel is supposed to go between the adapter and pulley. You need to shorten the front of the adapter .120 which is the thickness of the wheel. You still need the lip that centers pulley and the wheel. For sn95, that won't work because the sn95 pulley of not flat on the back.

Anyone ever tried this balancer, its a Romac.
There's a video on YouTube of a a guy putting this into a cobra.
Looks good, I'll have to do some measure measurements to verify fitment compared to stock.
It is for a 302/351w, 28oz.

I did this a few years back.. Trying to find an old pic. I took a 28oz 95 Mustang balancer, chucked it up in my lathe. Turned a small spot on the back side, right after the crank seal surface ends. Then took the Explorer trigger wheel, turned a hub to mate it to the balancer, and pressed it together. Been working great for the last 5 years, 25k miles.

Did those connectors, that either you, or someone else, was talking about earlier, work?
