Getting all sorts of opinions with turbo selection for a 1994 F150 Flareside 351w E4OD daily driver weekend drag street truck.
Will not need more than 500hp, hopefully more than 400hp.
Next upgrade, looking at turbo selection.
Currently looking at On3 Performance GT35 61mm Turbocharger GT3582.
But, in the specs, shows this is a great turbo for 1.5-3.5L engines.
How to select the proper sized turbo?

Re: Turbo selection, 351w 500hp goal
based on hp goal (turbo flow) and exhaust flow / AR size
a 67mm can get what you want but you run in to compressor surge when using too small of a turbo (AR) for a given engine size.
on a V8 the minimum I recommend is a 76 but in your case a 70mm would be most ideal since you have a low revver.
exhaust AR housing is very important. The base on3 turbo used to be a 70mm with either a .68 or .96 AR housing. That should work out well for you.
I have more details in the pre tune info write up with wastegates and such.

How about a stock 2017-2019 Ford stock 6.7l turbo, 72.5mm I believe.
Found one locally for $500CAD.
Price is right, I think, but Is that too big?
Also, it is a Variable Geometry Turbocharger(VGT).
