Crazy Question
Is it possible for something in the tune controlling fuel pressure to kill a new pump or did i just get a bad pump?

nope just a bad pump
be cautious where you buy pumps there's a ton of cheaply made and knock offs out there and they usually fail suddenly
otherwise if you have debris in the tank that could kill a pump quickly too
