Michael, What is the reason that MPC-197 is not a supported hardware code?

- Vehicle Information: 1997 Mountaineer 5.0 that originally had a wasted spark ignition system. I'm converting to coil-near-plug. I will use a 4.6 Luxury Sedan PCM & modified powertrain harness. It will be reprogrammed to operate the Windsor 5.0.

The reason I asked because when I click your link http://www.efidynotuning.com/eecv.htm It shows this and MPC-197 is not in the list so my question is what is the reason that it is not a supported code?
"The following Hardware Codes are OPENLY supported by decipha:

MLC-461 MLC-462 MLC-462A MLC-463 MLC-463A
MPC-14A MPC-14B MPC-14C MPC-14D MPC-14E MPC-14F MPC-14G
MPC-141
MPC-15B MPC-15C
MPC-206

Re: Hardware codes openly supported by decipha
The reason that I asked is because one of the two wrecker drivers that I know has a 2003 Crown Vic PCM with this part number, 3W7A12A650BFB.
Also on the tag/sticker it says, MPC-197 and on your list, I noticed a run of numbers, MPC-195, MPC-196, then MPC-198. I wondered if it was a typo or an accident that MPC-197 was skipped. Will it take the RZASA tune or one of the others?

Re: Hardware codes openly supported by decipha
that page is from 2014. It quickly became too tedious and time consuming to list everything and then having to manually sift through and search for a particular code so I made the search box that I linked 3 posts up. Type it in and you will quickly find out its rzasa.
Although its not the case for thos but never assume a range of hardware codes are compatible. For example XXX-337 and XXX-339 may be the same class but XXX-338 may have entirely different bit mapping making it not compatible. Those numbers I just through out but you get the idea.

Re: Hardware codes openly supported by decipha
Thanks Michael. I typed in MPC-197 and RZASA popped up. I assume that is good then before I purchase this PCM from the guy. My funds are limited, so I can't afford something that won't work. Thanks again for your help and time.
