load in SD eecV?

Unread postby ranga83 » Wed Oct 12, 2016 5:32 am

Decipha, have you done much work on SD bins? is there an actual "load" or "perload" in them, or does it run off MAPPA? ive found in my disassembly that the fuel base table and the stabilised fuel table use a separate scaling function, but each use the mappa payload as an input. obviously base still uses temp and stab fuel uses RPM.

yes, its the same basic calc, the ecu comes up with a cylinder aircharge and that's divided by standard aircharge SARCHG - the engine size scalar to come up with load

In the "LH" speed density strategies LOAD (i.e. VE) is used very little. You will generally find MAP and its variations (e.g. MAPPA, MAPOPE) are used instead. From what you've said your ecu may be similar.

Decipha, not yet, was trying to sort out most payload locations first. then I need to figure out correct bin size, as what I'm using atm is a padded 256kb bin. unless that doesn't matter?

Thanks Derek. its an aussie ef falcon 4.0, I think you may have had a look at the bin, but didn't create a strategy. (not sure on that) but I know you have done work on the 5.0 EF bins as I have one of your strats. speaking of which I need to email you about.

yes, for tunerpro it has to serve a 256k bin since it uses mode 4 tune 2, be sure the position of the code is in the right spot, if your able to make changes then it is, for a two bank it should be 0x10000 to 0x2ffff iirc

I'm going to update the disassembly write up with a quick and easy way of creating datalogging ADX's, instead of 9 steps there's only 2, I just did it with MPAM0 for a 2000 excursion 6.8L V10 for a premium member that I reprogrammed the ecu just to control the trans since he swapped in a cummins diesel, it only involves 1 main step when setting up the adx and you CAN'T POSSIBLY mess it up, makes life much easier to manage several ADX's and keep them all universal without the possibility of corrupting good code when accidentally attempting to log with the wrong adx as has always been done, its my new way and IMO far superior than the old way of doing things, much less work and much less chance of error

cool

make up a list of the payloads u wanna log and their addresses

do you know where the console call routine is in your strategy? If not, near the bottom of the disassembly write up i put a quick find string

4tad.rar

that's what I'm working with. I have found out from Derek that my RAW bin size is 88kb. just a couple of questions.
1. my tune is 256kb codes starting at 0x22000 should I change it to 0x12000?
2. in the RAR file is a txt with my payload addresses. but no flag addresses. how do you determine the flag address?

flags are easy to find, youll see and ors used to modify a bit

that would be the 71 and 91 opcodes off the top of my h

Ill take a look soon as i get some free time
