IAC Delete

Anybody delete their IAC and have success doing it? Im thinking about doing it but if its going to be a big ordeal ill keep the stock setup.

Vehicle Information: 86 Capri T-Top. Oxford white, grey trim and canyon red interior. 306 with twisted wedge heads with 54cc chambers, Anderson b3 cam, Edelbrock RPM II intake, Ford Racing 80lbs inj., c&l 80mm maf, BBK 75mm tb, longtube headers. Im currently using a plx wideband mounted in the driverside header. Tuning with moates quarterhorse and Tunerpro.

no you cannot delete the isc

why would you want to?

The car doesnt get driven a lot (well none right now) and didnt know if it would make it easier to tune and or to get a more stable idle in decent weather. Not a huge deal either way just curious.

no you will have major idle problems without an iac

getting rid of the the iac is about as practical as getting rid of the cooling fan

its a horrible idea
