4r70w control?

Unread postby Bad86capri » Wed Oct 25, 2017 4:06 pm

Can the quarterhorse control the 4r70w? I'm thinking about swapping one in my car but didn't want to buy the controller for it.

the qh controls the ecu, you'll need an auto ecu with 4r70w control in order to tune it

I found your 4r70w swap for super coupe. Is there a write up anywhere for trans wiring in a fox harness?

Does the T4M0 calibration of the CBAZA strategy have the potential to control the 4r70w transmission?

In what ways would it be easier? Is the pinout wiring different or does T4MO not have some of the calibration set up that the u4p2 does?

Since I have a T4mO already, would it worth messing with the T4mO in your opinion or go hunt for a u4p2?

no the ecu are the same, the manual just doesnt have the auto output hardware, thus the t4m0 cant control an auto since it doesnt have those outputs in it

t4m0 and u4p0 have the same strategy cbaza, you can start from either u just have to enable all the auto trans stuff in the t4m0, easier to just start from an auto bin

I was a pull a part yesterday looking around for a alternator for 3g swap which I found off a 99 Taurus! I came across a 98 v6 mustang trans. I should've bought it but didn't want to spend the cash at the moment. The question I have is what all wiring do I need to get when get the trans or of a car?

the trans harness should unclip up nearer the engine bay, if it does not just snatch a harness from an f-150 which is completely self contained, I like the f150 harnesses as the connectors are sufficicently long enough to make it easily assessable. I recommend cutting the other end of the harness with as much length as you can so you can splice those wires into the ecu that way you have an easily disconnectable connection.

that's about it, its pretty simple and basic nothing to it at all

if its going to be controlled by an eec-iv then be sure to snatch a 1 ohm tcc solenoid from a 91-95 crown vic, town car, or mark 8 or from a 94-95 f-150 or 5.0 mustang

any other modular w/ 4r70w will have a 10 ohm eec-v tcc solenoid such as the thunderbirds, cougars, v6 stangs, and anything else 96+ or that has an eec-v

if you really wanna step your game up snatch an ecu and coil on plugs from an 03/04 luxury sedan; then the timing cover crank trigger balancer w/ reluctor, and cam stalk from a 99-01 5L explorer; snatch a plug wire set from an ls gm engine; snatch the trans and engine harness from a 99-03 f-150 and toss it all in the old jewel, more details are on the homepage under the efi swap write up under the reference tab

The pulley depth is much shallower on the exploder balancer. Most of the EDIS swaps I've researched either milled the thickness of an aftermarket reluctor wheel off the flange of a stock style balancer or welded it straight to the bell portion of the stock pulley. I'll have EDIS in my fox eventually.

u are correct the serpentine belt is much closer to the heads on the explorers

you can also press the reluctor on to the back of the balancer similar to the early 90s crown vics and town cars

At the moment I'm only interested in the 4r70w swap. How many wires do i need to splice into my fox harness to make the swap work?

Hi, i need use T4mo eec-IV to control 4r70w auto transmission on mustang 94 GT V8 automatic.

How i enable auto trans stuff for it? Is into the t4mo or on the wires/cables between eec and transmission?

Thanks for any help.

I dont believe the T4M0 ECU has the hardware to control an automatic. I thought you need an auto ecu such as the U4P0

Thanks for informations.

Its possible change some Electronic chips or components of a T4M0 by chips/components from a U4p0 to transform the original eec (T4M0) originaly for manual transmission on a eec to control auto trans?

Do you know what chips or components i need to chance?

The 60 pin connector need some modification?

If you get a stock 94/95 auto computer it will be so much easier. Its plug and play as far as wiring. Is there a reason you are opposed to getting one? They arent hard to find.
