I know the switch was discontinued for that, but why is the other Honda, GM, Ford Hardware; and Various software discontinued too? I'm hoping its just parts.

I've seen this too. Question to answer for the people who may want to know is What is the work around for the diy'er who wants to tune themselves and doesn't already have a quarter horse or f3/jaybird?

Is the sct 6600 more similar to the Moates f3? Or the quarter horse in function?. I'm trying to find more about the device but the website is vague. Is there an interface cable to connect to a laptop? Is it compatible with TunerproRt?

F3V2. It uses the same Latice chip. Read/Write is exact.

Jaybird and Burn2 work in Tunerpro, and both read/write the 6600.

So opinion is that the discontinued status of the F3 and quarter horse is temporary until shortage is over?. I wonder why they put it that way then. Discontinued is a strong word to use to the public market. Especially it is meant as temporary. I know when I see discontinued, to me it means it's not coming back. This may throw a lot of of their future customers off. But that's just my opinion.

So just to clarify, the only thing currently needed to write a tune to the ECM is a sct6600, a moates jaybird and a tuning software such as TunerproRt?
