Throttle body close issue at WOT

For all other non specifically listed ECU tuning. This would include can-bus ecu's such as powerpc copperhead tricore and siemens ecus. As well as GM, Dodge or any aftermarket controller tuning etc...

Throttle body close issue at WOT

Unread post by Denver_SVT »

I have one of my friend he own 2016 Mustang GT Manual Transmission stock with TB closing issue in 4th gear. No error code and nothing wrong with it after Ford dealer checked the car. They mentioned maybe you need to tune the car with your gear ratio 3.15 as it was 3.31.
We tried to have it tuned without toching the TB table and the issue still there. Any way how to fix it from tune and make sure rpm will not stall.

Thanks

We datalog it and we found that at WOT before 4000 rpm the TB will close but if we go in 3rd gear and pass the 48 mph and shift to 4th and WOT immediately it will work fine with no TB close. Its kind of strange.

log your torque source and see what's causing the tb to close

re-write the stock tune back to it and see if it still acts up

I already tried logging the torque source and at WOT when tge issue accured and throttle close the torque source was reading 13 and shift to 15 and get back to 13. It was doing it back and forth. So, torque source 13 is "Tip in Torque Control" and "OSCMOD". So to fix the issue should i disable the Tip in Active Switch or what?

Sounds like its calculating a tip in. Make sure you don't have any scaling changes or corrupted values in the driver demand, effective throttle area or predicted throttle table normalizing / scaling functions.
