I have an eecv 2000 model with an rpm out pin that's not being used. Does anyone know if that is compatible to drive an aftermarket tach?

if its not used it prob doesn't have the tach output hardware present
in any case im not sure it would be the same signal the aftermarket tach is looking for

try a MSD tach driver

You would need to ask the tach manufacturer if their product supported the eec tach signal.
You would be wise to put a multimeter on that tach pin to check for a signal.
Another interface solution.

Found a cheap solution that works. This guy took real good care of me and matched me up to the right part. Hooks up to one of my cop coil feed wires. Cost less than $40
