Hello,
I just got the strategy from Sailorbob for the A4A1 and i need a stock bin for it. I am watching a couple of ECUs on ebay, but until i get one i am wanting to look around and see how this bin was configured.
Thank you

cool, I'll post it up when I get to my laptop
you do realize that A4A1 is a cbaza ecu with EDIS correct?
if you want to run a distributor youll have to use the cbaza strategy instead

Thank you for the A4A2 bin. What do you think is left to iron out before its ready for primetime? Also, can the A4A1 Strategy be run on CBAZA hardware or is it specific to the A4A1 hardware? If i can get away with just strat swapping with one of my spare T4M0 Processors i would be extremely happy. If not there are a few im watching that are under $50 right now.

Neal, thanks for the link to this thread.
I have been out for a while, so forgive my simple minded questions...
A4A2 is the strategy, correct? No issues with cross-use?
Has the A4A2 successfully run with EDIS?
I assume you confirmed the code was actually there?
A simple bin/strategy change would have saved me a ton of work on my 2.3 EDIS project...

a4a2 is the base cal i created, the strategy name is unknown, derek named his strategy file under the a4a1 box code which uses that strategy, he has the complete a4a1 strat for BE if you want to run a cbaza ecu with edis
yes and yes it runs edis from the factory, you still need an edis module though
(the purpose in the other thread was to run an eec-v ecu with edis and coil on plug) << Posts moved here where they belong

I currently have the full CBAZA strategy from Derek. Will it not work with your a4a2 cal? Will I need to buy the Full a4a1 strat from Derek as well for EDIS? I'm sure the answer is yes but I just want to be sure.

Not until the kids get a little older... About all I have left now is a volvo head and 2.3 short block in need of rebuild.
That 2.3 car was fun to tinker with, I have missed it.
It's great that guys like Derek and Michael are still making improvements like this!

Very nice at least you have the heart of the project. I assume you still have the Quarterhorse or whichever tuning device you were using and ecu? Those are the main things.

I agree 100%. If it wasn't for them my project would be stalled dead in its tracks(literally). I have great respect that they donate all their free time and probably non free time to us guys that want to learn this.

I wouldn't exactly sum both of us together, Derek has done far more for the DIY tuning community than I ever have, if it wasn't for him there would be very little support for these ecu's in the DIY community. And if it wasn't for him I would never have even gotten started tuning these boxes. I would say 99.5% of the credit goes to Derek and maybe 0.5% goes to me, I'm just the messenger spreading the word, Derek does all the hard work.

Fair enough. However, does this require an A4A1 strategy EEC or will a CBAZA EEC be able to run EDIS with the appropriate A4A1 definition and binary?
