Thanks, you posted while I was posting my last - I think I got most of it, but I'll post up my current PTP tune tomorrow for a sanity check.

Re: FBFG2 strategy?

I think I've copied all my changes over from the PTP2 to the MGZT, but there are two things possibly remaining - I realized that the MGZT is a manual tune - as there are automatic transmission shift tables that are populated, is the only thing I need to change the 'AUTO_TRANS_SW' from 'unset' to 'set'? The other thing is when I compared my PTP2 tune to a stock one, there are a lot of 'Item not defined' differences, that I'm assuming are related to some of the patches - the one I'm scratching my head over is 'IC Fan Reassigned Pin #69'. On my tune, that's '01' and on the stock PTP2, it's '00', and the patch says 'Indeterminate: data does not match', but the schematics show pin 69 being A/C cutout for both the original Cougar PCM and the Mustang PCM, although a 'pin reassignment' rings a bell for some reason.

Re: FBFG2 strategy?

Awesome - I'll have to see if I can manage to migrate over. I fiddled with it a little and uploaded your base MGZT BIN to my QH, disabled PATS and through some trial and error, got the fuel pump working right - I'm driving an 'old school' return system with a simple relay which doesn't play nice with the stock 2004 PCM calibration. With the FBFG2 strategy PTP2 cal and the patches available, it worked like 95% - the PCM was properly driving the relay and pump, but it wouldn't shut off after a second or three - it would just keep running at key on. With the MGZT and some changes, it's behaving like stock. I'll have to try 'porting' my changes from the PTP2 tune over to the MGZT tune.

EEC-V flashing

Is there a way to flash a BIN that is used in TunerPro to the PCM using something like a Mongoose or other other device, maybe using Binary Editor or some other application? I have a QH and a Moates J3 chip, but as it stands, the stock programming won't run the car due to the fuel pump config. I'd like to flash the PCM with my current base tune so that in the event that the QH were to fail, the PCM would be able to run the car without it or any chip. I have a GM MDI2 (real, not clone) and from what I've gathered, it seems that the MDI2 and Fords VCM2 are both made by bosch and supposedly are actually the same hardware - is there a way to use the MDI2 (which is a J2534 passthrough device) to flash the PCM, or is there some other tool that's less expensive than the mongoose that'll also do the job?

FBFG2 strategy?

I've not been tinkering much and happened to drop in (apparently the forum went through a reset as my account was no longer around), and I noticed that the FBFG2 strategy is no longer listed. I've been using the FBFG2_17111.xdf definition that appears to be from 2017 or 2018, which has been working fine, but I was surprised to see pretty much no references to it. In searching the downloads for 'FBFG2', it seems that maybe FBGI0 replaced it here? If not, has FBFG2 gone 'closed source'? If FBGI0 has replaced it, what are the benefits to switching the strategy?
