EQE3 pcm help

My dads truck is swapped with an explorer v8 and we used the eqe3 pcm that was with the engine. I cant seem to get a good quality read on it. when i read it with the deltaforce interface I have it reads as an FLN0 computer with a READ0 stategy. I loaded the posted reac4 strategy and tried to read it with a quarterhorse and tunerpro and I get scrambled data when i try and open the bin file in tunerpro rt. Maybe I need a different definition file? I also read it with burn 1 and get the same scrambled data when i open that read. Please help. Is this one of those premium member type strategy files or does anyone happen to have a strat file for either tunerpro or be? thanks for the help
edit: i tried reading my harley f150 pcm on the bench with a burn 1 and adapters and the bin i pull up in tunerpro is all garbage too, so It dawns on me maybe I dont have something set up correctly somewhere but i have followed the writeup several times.
edit: i followed this post to get the read on the eqe3 pcm posted

Re: Mongoose Pro Ford 2

Is there a better suited pcm I should think about running? I don’t mind converting to cop if it will improve the way it runs.

Re: Mongoose Pro Ford 2

Also wanted to ask if you have use for some files that I have from smelta smorce tuning. They are tmpl, trm, and pcm files. I’m sure they are encrypted but they are so old that I’m sure it isn’t a deep encryption. I can try and post one or two up or email some to you if you want to take a look?

Re: Mongoose Pro Ford 2

Yes. 000000 start and 03ffff end. Had j3 eec v reader selected and save buffer to file. Tried with flash and burn with burn 1+f2a+f2e and also set everything up like the write up for tunerpro and tried reading with the quarterhorse. Had you reac4.xdf file loaded. Same result. All zeros. Also tried with quarterhorse through flash and burn. The read with flash and burn and burn 1 resulted in a 256k file size. Quarterhorse one is only 32k for some reason so I suspect something went wrong there. Lol

Re: Mongoose Pro Ford 2

When I opened the file in a hex editor everything is 0’s.

Re: Mongoose Pro Ford 2

Yes. Key was on. I also tried the burn 1 with adapters to try and read it and it read the file but when I pull it up in tunerpro all of the data is zero’s. It doesn’t have the pads that some of the other ECU’s have that you just jumper. I looked for those. I used your reac4 strategy file when I opened the bin file. I can read the pcm fine with my Deltaforce interface. But that software is horrible.

Re: Mongoose Pro Ford 2

Missed that part. Sorry about that. I tried reading it with a quarterhorse but did not get anything that seemed usable. I read somewhere about having to put a couple resistors on the board to get it to read properly. Will this be the case for data logging and tuning with the quarterhorse as well? It is an EQE3 pcm from a 2000 explorer. But has been reman’d and has FLN0 software on it right now I believe. Hardware is ML2-8A1A

Mongoose Pro Ford 2

Is there a way to read the factory bin file from an eecv pcm with tuner pro? Or is there a different software that will accomplish this? Thanks.
