Im using a 4 pin cobra 90mm maf on a megasquirt setup and running into some "ford" electrical issues.
Seems the megasquirt system gets real finicky when the sensor ground and engine ground are connected outside of the megasquirt, and they even tell you its big no no in the manual.
Ive traced it back to the maf, seems ford connected the 12v power ground and sensor ground inside of the maf.
Ive reached out to the makers of the hardware and gotten , " megasquirt is designed primarily for a map" as a response.
So i was wondering if theres a way to crack open the maf and seperate the 2 ground paths.

Re: TCINJD scalar
Im running a megasquirt nowadays, but spend a lot of time chasing after the eec v setup lol.
Could anyone happen to tell me how the ford pcm times the injector pules?
and by that I mean do the injectors come on at the beginning, middle, or end of the CPS sine wave?

Re: dpfe EGR order of operations
gee thanks
seeing as you know how the eec dpfe systems operates, mind giving me a cliffnotes?
Those arent small documents, as your well aware being the uploader.

dpfe EGR order of operations
Needing to know the order of operations and modifiers for the dpfe egr system ford used
trying to setup a ms3x to mimic the stock system, but I realized I only know the absolute basics of the DPFE system and it is not a simple system lol.
SO egr is active during PT, is it always active during PT? is there any modifiers for ECT and IAT? Does it stop operating over a certain RPM or load in PT?
Is the DPFE used explicitly to verify funciton or is it used to more accurately increase spark advance with less chance of knock by quantifying the actual EGR flow?
What kind of advance do the PI 4.6's usually take with EGR over not? Is the fuel only modified through the EGO controls or is there a separate fuel table too?
Guessing that LTFT with EGR is stored, but is it stored with an EGR active flag or blended into the regular tables?
So many damn questions, but I needs the MPG
TIA.

Is there any bins and defs out there for this boxcode?
Or anything that will run it?

Just hit it with 12v's
Make doubly sure pressure is in spec.

AC functions controlled by the PCM?
Trying to figure out how to make my MS3 run the stock AC system.
But Im honestly not sure where to start on this, guess knowing the proper function of the whole circuit would help.
Looking over the PCM pinouts you have it seems that theres 3 pins that go through the PCM for the AC system
#41 AC HP
#69 AC wot switch
#86 HVAC
I would wager that #41 and #69 are grounding signals sent to relays in the CCRM to cut power to the AC clutch field.
What does pin #86 do?

Re: Ms3 gold box conversion on a 98 gt
If I had a FSM this would be so much easier.
But this is like the only chassis Ive ever worked on that you couldnt source a free FSM for.
Ive gotten digitized datsun FSM's from the 70's and translated sections for some of nissans JDM only engines in the late 00's online for free and for the life of me I cant find a single source for the 98 gt's that isnt a monthly subscription or a c note for a CD.
And whats more is because there such an inbetween model year they have a lot of minor differences between the 96-97 cars and the 99-02's
To the point that it makes using anything BESIDES the factory FSM an exercise in futility.
